Mother Hen one day, visit my daughter the next. 28 +40

After the wash out on Friday, the weekend was quite mild and very pleasant to be out in. Saturday I achieved the 100 for the week by riding over to see 'Mother Hen' at Wrington for tea and cake and gave an explanation that the weather had beaten us on Friday and apologies for our non appearance.  That was understood perfectly so bimbled back to Weston with just under 29 on the clock making 108 for the week. Below is the map the ride taken over to Clevedon the following day to catch up with my daughter.

Quite an easy ride over to see Jacqueline, the only fly in the ointment is the 3 miles down the A370 which can be quite busy at times.  This is a small bridge just off the A370 leading to the Strawberry Line.  Those clouds looked very ominous but passed over thankfully.

Apart from that, it is on the Levels. Hardly used the bike battery going over there apart from railway and motorway bridges (two of each) but there was more power used on the way back negotiating some hills near Banwell and heading into a moderate breeze.  Leaving my daughters I went along the Clevedon sea front and saw the local Salvation Army silver band performing in the Victorian Bandstand.  Nice to see the old traditions enduring.

Enjoyed today with a bit extra added on Managed 40 miles in all, 148 for the week.
