Out with Old Gits 20

Weather has calmed down a bit after a week of strong, fairly cold winds.  I have to confess to being a bit lax on putting these blogs on and have missed out on two or three this last week.  Today was Old Gits Day as normal on a Tuesday but prior to that there was :-
Saturday 16th March. A 22 miler out to Banwell. A windy but dry day and the ride was fairly uneventful.
Sunday 17th March. Another uneventful ride, again windy but dry. Nothing worth photographing over the 17 miles covered.
Monday18th March.  A saunter over to the Sand Bay area.  got a bit chilly halfway round so diverted into MacDonalds half way round and had a coffee and a quiet read of the free Daily Mail on offer until the peace was shattered just after 3pm when hordes of school kids invaded the place.  Time to head home and finish the 13 mile ride.
And today out with the old Gits.  Myself and a couple of others on 'light duties', took a slightly shorter flatter route to the tea stop.

Caffles

A good turn out today with 18 riders and 3 walking wounded.  Not bad for this time of year.  Possibly the fact that it was a birthday for one of them which meant free teas all round, added to the attraction of the day.  A good month is march with about 4 birthdays in quick succession.  Need not take any money out for the next 3 weeks.

A good ride with good company.  A fraction under 20 miles today.

  1. Good to see you getting out and about, Ken. Weather hasn’t helped at all recently. March has been a poor month for me with weather and various family commitments. Will be struggling to reach 200 miles for the month! Mick
