Handing over the token.
Arrived at the cafe very ready for tea and cake. As I was the holder of the token it was my turn to pay. Deep joy. Originally we had settled for tea and a toasted teacake each but that order went straight out of the window when I spotted some eccles cakes on the counter. Now, Mick and I are afficianados of eccles cakes so we settled on one of those each instead of a tea cake. Good choice, they were excellent until I saw the receipt that came with them. £3.25 each! I kid you not, we could have had a full English breakfast for that at some places. Then came the process of deciding who had the token next. It had been so long since we had done this exchange we had forgotten. 15 minutes later and with the aid of trawling through 1000s of our phone picture libraries we solved it. It was Mick's. Must capture this moment aided by a very helpful waitress on her second day in the job.

Not my choice but if you fancy a patriotic cow made from scrap metal this is the place to come. There is all sorts of home made stuff here but at what price I dare not look if the eccles cakes are anything to go by.
