A wander around Wellesbourne. 19

Met up with Graham in Leamington this morning, had a lift to his house as he had been fixing up my 'Leamington bike' after a puncture last time we were out.  The day looked promising, no need for layers of clothing, and as time was a bit tight today, decided on a ride into the wind to Wellesbourne and partake of the goodies at the Airfield Cafe.

Victoria Park

This 18 acre park was opened in 1899 to celebrate Queen Victoria's Jubilee.  It has bowls, tennis, cricket, a skate board park, children amusements and a cafe amongst other facilities.  There is a very nice riverside walk alongside the Leam and a half mile perimeter track in its centre which is popular with local cycling clubs.  It was along here this morning that I realised I had not started the Strava app on my phone and whilst stopping to do that, took this photo looking south along the river walk.  Lost a mile off the weekly total now, calamity!

Much easier going back with the wind behind us.  Recorded mileage was 19 today.
