Old Gits go to Burnham 21

Out with the Old Gits - again! That is twice in two days, there again, yesterday was a special day.  First Monday in the month so a trip to Burnham on Sea across the Somerset Levels is scheduled.  Forecast is pretty good and with 17 starters today, a pretty big bunch of us set out.

The Nature Reserve

Leaving Uphill, the next village south of Weston, we went through the marina and a set of awkward gates onto the nature reserve.  This reserve covers quite a few acres including a couple of ponds with a bird hide each.  The main path through has also been upgraded right the way through to Brean which opens more possibilities for the serious walker/cyclist. Did not use the new section of track on the outward journey but the majority of riders did on the return from Burnham.  This was after the compulsory stop at the farm shop in Berrow for eggs.

A good ride again.  Covered 21 miles today.
