Sandford Saunter 22

A bit warmer today, didn't need the hand warmers but an extra pair of thin gloves helped.  No sign of any frost which was a bonus.  Did a bit of a circular route out through Wick St Lawrence to Hewish and back to Weston via Sandford and Banwell.

Oldbridge River

This taken from a little bridge in Puxton Lane near Hewish looking west.  The river itself is not very big at this point being formed from streams and rhynes on the Somerset Levels.  It leads into the River Yeo and the Severn Estuary.  There was a grey heron standing at the rivers edge before the big tree in the distance.  Unfortunately, too small to see on this pic. There was also a little egret nearby and another heron to the east of the bridge.  They cleared off when they saw me!

A nice easy ride round this morning.  Covered 22 miles in all taking the weekly total up to 112.
