Woolavington Wander 41

Get some miles in today to complete the target for the week.  Wind has dropped a lot, forecast is pretty good so going down to the Somerset Levels to have a mooch round..

Tarnock Farm Shop

Went down to Mark and continued further south to a village called Woolavington near to Bridgewater.  Cut inland there and went through some very rural lanes heading towards the A38.  Never came across any tea shops or cafes at all and after 32 miles came out on to the main trunk road.  Normally, there is a snack/burger van parked there; not today.  Needed some refreshments but could not think of anywhere on or near the route back.  Luckily, spotted this Farm Shop at Tarnock, and sat outside with a pint of milk, a glass of water and a Mars bar.  Just what was needed to make the rest of the trip home more comfortable.

Village Cricket

A very English pastime in full swing at Lympsham.  Just after this shot was taken both teams were called in to the pavilion for drinks. Very tempting to ask if it was possible to join in but best not to push the luck. Best to push the pedals home.

Clocked up just over 41 miles, 125 for the week.
