Weather forecast was rubbish this morning, heavy rain nearly all day. Took the mountain bike, and all the wet weather gear it was possible to carry, and never saw a drop! It was dull, and a bit windy but just sauntered along enjoying the scenery.
The Beach
July in a popular seaside resort and this is the view from the promenade at 10.30 in the morning. Indicative of the weather really. In the background is Brean Down and the little island on the right is the uninhabited (apart from flocks of cormorants) Steep Holm.
The New Castle
Quite a popular tea room and cafe as you enter Kewstoke from Weston, with good views over Sand Bay. This is only 3.5 miles from home so not really worth calling in for a cuppa. Might do it on the way back from somewhere.
11 miles in all today which takes the week's total to 102, just above the target.
