Stratford Saunter 26

Stopping in Leamington for a couple of days so chance to get out and about in the leafy lanes of Warwickshire.  Going over to Startford today via Bishops Tachbrook, Barford, Teddington and back through Hampton Lucy and Warwick.  Strange, the map profile looks like a leg taking a kick at something.

St Chads Church

A couple of miles into the ride went through Bishops Tachbrook. Stopped to take a picture of the church, St Chads. This church was built in the 12 century and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book.  Just noticed that the lens shutter is not opening properly causing distracting shadows. Must get that seen to.

William Shakespeare at Stratford

Couldn't go to Stratford without taking a picture of the Bard.  I took a similar picture in October 2011, it was the first one of this blog.

Fulbrook Lane Sherbourne

The epitome of an English country lane. This runs between Hampton Lucy and Sherbourne near Warwick and is in the full bloom of spring with the Cow Parsley well in advance at the side of the road.  A real pleasure to ride around these lanes on such a nice morning.

26 miles today. Hope this weather keeps up for a bit.
