Showground Shuffle 31

Meeting up with a couple of cycling buddies this morning, Graham and Mick, and going to the National Agricultural Centre at Stoneleigh for tea and cake.

NAC Farm Shop

Went out from Kenilworth to the A45 on the cycle paths and cut through to the village of Baginton. Through the lanes then to Stareton and the showground where we found the Farm Shop to be open. A cup of tea and a toasted tea cake went down very well.

The Wicker Man

Despite locking our three bikes together, it was comforting to enlist the services of this wicker man to stand guard over our machines.  He did a good job because they were still there when we came out. A nice ride then through the Stoneleigh estate back to Kenilworth and Leamington.

A very enjoyable spin out catching up on the gossip. 31 miles today which reaches my 100 mile target for the week and it is only Thursday.

  1. Hi Ken,
Good to meet up with you and Graham this morning. By the time I had reached home I had clocked up 20 miles and assumed I had reached 700 miles for the month - how anoying then to see I had reached 699.29!! Good news was I got home just ahead of a heavy shower.

    Best wishes,

    Mick
