Sand Bay Saunter 18

One of the best mornings we have had so far this year. Haven't been out to Sand Bay for some time and as the road bike is in for repair still, this is an ideal route for the mountain bike.

Diggers on the beach

In just over a weeks time there will be a big motorcycle and quad bike display on Weston beach.  Already, big diggers and bulldozers have moved in and started to shift all the sand about to make ramps, jumps and circuits. We are lucky enough to have a good view of all this from our apartment, that will save a few bob entrance fees.

St Lawrence Church

The parish church of Wick St Lawrence. This was built in the 15th century but had to be partially rebuilt after being struck by lightning in 1791.  It is a grade 2 listed building. This has been on the blog before but this looks better with the background of bright blue sky.

Cecil, the Dude in the Phone Box

His Facebook page was updated yesterday so on the way back from Wick, went down the Locking Road to get this. Not very clear, but he is dressed in very fancy gear as if he is going to a carnival.

A very enjoyable , no hassle, 18 miles today.
