East Brent Bash 14

A bit limited for time today so kept the mileage down. A shame because the weather has improved somewhat, its still windy but far less than of late.  Doing a circular route through Bleadon to East Brent and back through Lympsham.

The Anchor
Stopped here to take a picture of the boat, the sad looking boat. At this time of year, all the boats I have seen are well stocked with flourishing plants ready for the summer display.  This one is full of weeds. Sorry to say but this reflects the actual pub itself. Went here for a meal some months ago, never again.

East Brent War Memorial

Done this one before but this is one of the nicest memorials I have seen. With the recent 70th anniversary of the end of WW2 and todays 75th anniversary of Operation Dynamo, the rescue of 300,000 troops from Dunkirk in France back to England, this seems an appropriate time to do it again. What heroes our forefathers were.

Flytipping

They are at again. Anyone want a nice pink settee?. This is in Accommodation Road near Brean. Best be quick, I have told the local council about it.

Enjoyed that even though it was only 14 miles.
