Old Gits Gallop 23

Tuesday morning, Old Gits Day.  A pretty rotten start to the day with hail, rain and a high wind. Still when the going gets tough, the tough go cycling.  A total of 8 of us met at the normal place and did the normal route out to Banwell, Winscombe and  Sandford before tea break and back through St Georges.  By the way, the route is mapped by my i-phone running the Strava app and then downloaded onto a PC. What you see is a screen shot.

Heading Home

The last leg of our trip going down towards Bourton Lane from the motorway bridge near to Wick. It was this stretch of the ride that was heading straight into the wind although the hedges gave a degree of shelter.

Cheerio All

The last full stop of the day outside the Summerhouse Pub near Worle. At this point we all start to go off in different directions.

Overall a good trip out apart from the last 4 or 5 miles. We did manage to avoid the odd shower as well which was a bonus. 23 miles covered.
