Highbridge Hop 31

Took the old Peugot road bike today and there is a serious fault somewhere with the drive train. Possibly a bent deraileur or cassette malfunction.  It is booked in to be looked at on Tuesday and perhaps should not have used it today. Made it home in one piece at least. A trip to Highbridge took in Bleadon, Mark, and Burnham on Sea on the return journey.  Still a bit windy but not too bad.

Cockles and Mussels

Had to call in at the Bay View Cafe in Burnham on the way back (tea and some shortcake).  Nearby was this sea food stall selling cockles, mussels and prawns. I think most seaside towns have one of these.  Dread to ask what the prices are, they were 6d (old money) when I were a lad.

A cranky old ride today, the 31 miles took me over the weekly target, 105 miles in total.
