Burnham Burn 29

Out today for a ride down to Burnham on Sea.  Taking a route across the Somerset levels so, apart from crossing motorways and railways is fairly flat. A bit windy today but not too bad as it is mainly a crosswind.

Burnham on Sea High Street

This is the main shopping street in Burnham and unusually, is not full of big chain stores, more a mixture of independent shops which is good to see.

Quite a few of these down this part of Somerset. This one is on the main road that links Burnham on Sea with Brean, at Berrow.  The pictures highlight a couple of the activities in the area, sand yachting and golf, there is a links course at Berrow and the beach is about 4 miles long, sandy and ideal for the land yachts.

A nice ride today in the sunshine, covered 29 miles.
