23rd June 2014 Bean Feast 14

A proper summer's day is a perfect excuse for a proper ride out in the country. Busy day today preparing our house for the new buyer to inspect but found time out to go to Hatton Locks Cafe for lunch.  As it was so nice lunchtime, extended the ride to include Little Shrewley and Hatton Station.

Hatton Marina

This picture taken next to Hatton Railway Station.  The sign on a nearby gate said MWYC, Mid Warwickshire Yacht Club. With no yachts or similar in sight, could not work out how that could be, but their web site shows that the yachts are at Leamington Reservoir some 10 miles away and this is a branch of the club that includes inland waterways. Now we know.

Hatton Locks Cafe was unusually busy for a Monday and had to wait some time for my beans on toast. Well worth the wait though, helped me get round the 14 mile circuit.
