16th June 2014 Coventry Cruise 35

Billy No Mates today. They are all off doing stuff, boring stuff like holidays.  Did a decent circuit today, Warwick, Cubbington, Stoneleigh, Coventry, Ballsall Common back home.

Railway Inn Warwick

I think this place might be trying to promote the World Cup.  Certainly eye catching and they will be showing all the games live on TV. I would imagine there would be a good atmosphere in there when England play.

Rugby Tavern Cubbington

A rather more muted patriotic display at the Rugby Tavern with a few pennants dangling in the breeze. Painted so predominantly in orange, one could be forgiven that the landlord might be from Holland.

Nailcote Hall Balsall Common

Struggling for fresh subjects today. This is Nailcote Hall hotel on the Coventry side of Balsall Common. Not a bad hotel, stayed here a couple of times when doing weekend murder mysteries. It does have a reasonable Par 3 golf course and is hosting a championship here later in the year.  This was taken just before going to the La Delicia bakery, in Balsall.  A mug of tea and a giant eccles cake went down very well.

A good ride today on a new circuit for me. Just over 35 miles, the weather was good and the hills were not so steep today!
