30th May 2014 Wellesbourne Wander 30

Out with Graham today. Met up in Warwick and headed south. The weather still a little unseasonal but no rain and warm enough for shorts.  No photos today unfortunately. Unusually, nothing out of the ordinary to record.

Going out through Barford, the plan was to take a circular route to Stratford and check to see if the railway carriage cafe on the Greenway was open. The last couple of visits it has been closed which has been disappointing. Going out through Barford and Newbold Pacey my right knee was playing up a bit so we agreed to cut the ride short and call in at the Airfield Cafe at Wellesbourne instead. Tea and coffee and walnut cake went down well.  Took a fairly flattish ride back which helped the knee problem. According to the map above this was 28.5 miles. Not quite true, my phone battery ran out a mile and a half from home so this goes into the official record as a 30 miler.
