30th January 2014 Call of the Crumpets 13

A short spin out this morning with Mick. It was a bad start to the day, waking up late and having to contact him to delay the start by half an hour . Never mind, got going and started out, just as it began to rain with flakes of snow coming down. The plan was to meet near the University and plan a route from there.  Not looking good so far.

Curiositea

We met up at the usual place and decided, due to the weather, to take a short trip to the University of Warwick and take advantage of the facilities there. It had stopped raining but we agreed that extending our ride today was not too good an idea. Yesterday's ride was still in my legs, so it did not take too much persuading to head for the crumpets. This is Curiositea (lovely name), one of the student facilities on campus. Run by the Student Union, there is a reasonable menu at very good prices, and there is always a pleasant welcome to be had.
After tea and crumpets, a chin wag and a catch up, we both headed home, agreeing that it is far better to be out, despite the bad weather, than staying in.

Just the one photo today folks. Just under 13 miles to add to the total.

Update on John from yesterday. He is fine. They looked after him at the car showroom and within a short time he had thawed out! Happy ending. Note to self. Get John a hot water bottle next Christmas.
