Out with Graham today. Rode of to Leamington and met up with him and cycled into the wind, the cold wind! Heading to the Southam Area which incorporates a few hills unfortunately. The first one we tackled, the climb into Offchurch from Radford did beat me and I walked up the last, steepest, bit.
Went out through Long Itchington, Stockto and Napton before turning back towards Southam. We went to a really nice, and cheap, tea room and met an old colleague in there. I forgot to get a photo of it. Durr. I remembered about 4 miles in to our way back home but was not prepared to go back and get one. If I could remember the name of it, I would recommend the place. It was on the main street just down from the fire station!
When we reached Cubbington, I remembered that I had declined an invite to my daughter's for tea and biscuits this morning because I was out and about. By coincidence, we ended up just up the road from where she lives, so it was goodbye Graham, hello daughter and grandaughter. Bonus.
Tough ride today. Just one of those where the wind was wrong, the hills were too steep and the legs were aching. Still, 33 miles in the bank so cant be that bad.
