17th June 2013 Recap Day!

Didn't go out today.  Wanted to, the weather was OK, but decided it best to give the knees a rest, especially with a couple of long rides scheduled this week. Take note of the old adage, 'listen to your body.'  Thanks for visiting the blog, whilst you are here, I have posted a couple of locations that have been visited before but at different times of the year.

Footbridge, Newbold Comyn

The top photo was taken a couple of days ago, all the bushes are now in full leaf and the cow parsley is blooming. A summers day.
The second picture was taken on the 26th November last year after a period of heavy rain.  The River Leam had burst its banks and there was no chance of making progress onto the Comyn. No more days like this please.

 Woodcote Lane Leek Wootton

The first photo was taken in Woodcote Lane on the 18th January. With the right clothing and the
right bike, these sort of conditions can be very enjoyable. With all the bridle paths that are available, as long as the snow is not too slushy, and progress is not hindered, a good time can be had by all!
The second picture was taken on the 1st May, Spring was on its way.

Come back tomorrow, normal service will be resumed as a longish ride with Graham is planned.
