Out with the Old Gits again. 17 + 21

Out with them twice actually.  The first time was yesterday (Monday 24th) after getting a request from Old Git Andy to go out. Another very sunny day though cold first thing so we left it until 1100 when it warmed up considerably.Definitely shorts day as well so we went over to Brean for a cuppa.  Went to a place directly opposite to Pontin's holiday camp and the cafe owner reported that trade had dropped off dramitically after The main hall roof collapsed last week injuring a few guests.  Just did 17 miles in excellent weather, reported as the warmest February day on record.

Plus I was out Saturday and Sunday, catching a train to Bridgwater and returning back to Weston for a 23 mile ride (the best mileage yet, but it was slightly wind assisted) on the Saturday and a 17 mile spin around Weston on Sunday.  That made just over 90 miles for the week; chuffed with that for sure.

Out with the Old Gits proper!

Out with the Olds Gits  today for the first time since being discharged from hospital 6 weeks ago.  It has been  steady  progress from 3 miles down the prom to the 23 miles covered Saturday.  Still not 100% but ready to tackle a morning out with the Old Gits albeit cutting some corners and missing out some humungous hills.  They did the normal ride, plus a bit whilst I and two  other 'crocks' went to Banwell and Puxton en route to Caffels Garden Centre for tea.  Covered 21 miles with no problems.  Next week will be the full ride over to Burnham on Sea,

No photos unfortunately.
