View of Brent Knoll
Going over the hill in the reserve a view of Brent Knoll comes into view.
Uphill Church
The Old Church of St Nicholas dates from around 1080 and is a Grade 2 listed building despite have no roof on the nave. It is still occasionally used for services despite that. It commands quite a view over Weston Bay and the nearby mouth of the River Axe which used to be a port in Roman times, probably because of the lead mined nearby in the Mendips.
