A Bimble around Puxton and Banwell 23

Not a bad day today for getting an extra few miles in.  A bit fresh out there but long johns and an extra layer took care of that.  Yes, it's that time of year again.  Just ordered some more thermal stuff off  t'interweb having been drawn in to the Black Friday hype.  Paid £2.99 for postage only to find 12 hours later I have an e-mail from the same company, Decathalon, that I can have free postage if I order on Black Monday!  They do it on purpose, surely.  Anyway, rant over, did a local circuit out to Puxton, cut across to Banwell and back home.

Banwell Garden Centre

Didn't plan on stopping for refreshments today but turning into the wind, which was a north westerly, the hands and feet started to get a bit chilly.  A cup of tea (inside a warm building) was definitely on the cards.  Stopped in Sanford chatting to a cyclist that I cross paths with occasionally.  He suggested the cafe on the old Sanford railway station.  If you read this mate, it was closed!  The next one would be the garden centre at Banwell although that meant going down the rather wet, and a bit muddy in places, Strawberry Line.  Oh well, tea is calling.  At the garden centre, or judging by all the signs outside, the Christmas tree  centre, had a mug of tea, got warmed up nicely and carried on cycling.  Job done.

Finished on 23 miles today, 111 for the week.
