Old Gits doing the normal route. 26

Slightly less Old Gits this week, down to 12 at the cafe.  Possibly because this route, has a big (well, big for us) hill at Banwell.  The forecast was pretty good, warm and dull with the possibility of a shower half way through. That never materialised.  Nothing of note to report either.

Road closed - Winchcombe

The water company work that has disrupted the Strawberry Line for months now and has surfaced on the Banwell Road at Winscombe.  Luckily, the pavement is still open and we could squeeze through OK.

Katy Field

The Strawberry Line was a bit muddy today so those of us with road bikes or who don't like cleaning,  used an alternative road from Sanford to Winscombe.  These few braved the muck and caught us up in Puxton Lane.

The showers kept off, it was pleasantly warm so a good ride, in good company today.  No toast today, tea and lemon drizzle cake.  Yummy.  Covered 26 miles today.
