To Clevedon and Back 35

Could not refuse an offer to cycle over to my daughter's in Clevedon for a cup of tea.  After starting the day with the intention of not going out because of sore knees, soon changed my mind when the text came in.  Left it till later on when the weather was slightly better and enjoyed the wind assisted ride there but not the return journey!  Had the bonus of seeing the eldest grandson and his wife whilst I was there.

The Brass Band

'And the brass band played tiddely om pom pom' as the old song goes.  Certainly the case in Clevedon when I got there, especially by the afternoon strollers on the nearby prom.  Nice to see the Victorian bandstand being used, especially by quite a good band as these were.  Had to stop and enjoy the performance for a few minutes.

River Yeo

Crossed over this  at the end of the Strawberry Line that runs between Yatton and Congresbury.  This river drains into the Bristol Channel and helps to drain the Somerset Levels. The Mendip Hills in the distance under the blue sky.

After all that, the knees were OK and another 35 miles put the weekly total onto 143.
