Sand Bay Saunter 21

Another wet morning so delayed riding until mid afternoon, not the best of times to go out but hey ho.  Set out without any real plan, just follow the handlebars and see what happens.

Sand Road, Sand Bay

Ended up heading north out of Weston and taking the coast road to Sand Bay.  Not a great deal here, a small Pontin's Holiday Camp (Over 50s only so no kids) and a few Caravan Parks.  If you like walking, bird watching etc, not a bad place to have a base.  Nice to see these daffodils along the side of the rhyne (drainage ditch).

The Woodspring Pub.

Just after Sand Bay, the rain started.  Looking at the dark clouds and anticipating the wind, decided to abandon going too much further.  Cut back towards Weston and going through Worle, a satellite village, took this of the Woodspring Inn, an imaginative way of advertising a business.   A bit further on the rain stopped so the trip to Banwell and Sanford went by the board for nothing.

Not a bad ride all told.  Another 21 miles clocked up.
