To Burnham with Andy 30

What a difference a day makes!   Yesterday, it was blowing a hooligan out there, today, sunshine and not too bad at all.  Storm Doris has gone elsewhere thank goodness.  Went out with Andy today, one of the Old Gits.  The ride took us down to Mark, across the Highbridge and Burnham for tea and toast  and back through East Brent.  Met another cyclist from Yeovil in the cafe and he joined us for tea and toast.

East Brent Roadworks

These have been going on for a long time now, something to do with the water board.  Unlike a normal working day, there were about 3 blokes actually working today.  The traffic lights were working pretty efficiently and we didn't have to wait very long at all.

Weston Grand Pier

Finished off the ride with a trip along the promenade. Firstly to ride along with Andy on his way home, secondly to add a couple of miles on to the total, and thirdly because it is flat, smooth and a very enjoyable exercise dodging all the tourists!  The view is to the NW from the prom showing the pier and the older, Victorian part of Weston.  Not too many about on the beach, or the prom, but then it is lunchtime and the wind is still chilly despite being mid-day.

Nice ride this morning in good company, covered just under 31 miles today.
