The Old Gits to Burnham on Sea 25

First Tuesday in the month is scheduled for a trip to Burnham on Sea.  15 Old Gits met up on the promenade and set off through Uphill and Lympsham to Burnham.  The morning looked as if it might be frosty but it actually turned out a cracking sunny morning, a pleasure to be out.

Regrouping on the A370

Occasionally, there is a need to stop and let the 'stragglers' catch up.  This place is a lay by on the A370 near to Bleadon, a good place as it is difficult for us to get across the main road as one group and one of the members lives nearby and this is an ideal place to join us after his lie in!

Fed and watered

On this route, the Weatherspoons at Reeds Hotel in Burnham is the watering hole.  A bacon roll and all the coffee you can drink for £2.69 might have something to do with the attraction of the place.  Nicely full, this is the Old Gits heading north back to Weston, via the egg farm.  The tail wind from this point made the journey back even more enjoyable.

A ride up and down the prom at the end added a couple of miles to the final total of 25 miles.
