Balsall Common Bash 31

Early start today and looking out of the window at 8am, an extra couple of layers is needed with the frost hanging about.  Picking up Graham at his home and cycling over to Kenilworth to meet Mick at 9.  The main road between Leamington and Kenilworth is a bit busy this time of the morning but at least the traffic can only travel as fast as we can.  Met Mick and cycled up the Greenway to Balsall Common where we had a little ride round before tea and buns at La Delicia cafe. Over snacks we discussed the huge variety of cycle racks that can be found and set ourselves the challenge of finding different and unusual ones.  Game on!

Lavendar Hall Farm Park

Mick had spotted this spiral steel one recently so left the cafe and took a picture.  Never knew this place existed, an ideal little oasis in Balsall Common.  Popular with dog walkers at this time of the morning.

St Nicholas Park Warwick.

Left Mick near Warwick University and cycled back through Leek Wootton and Warwick.  Saw this fairly ordinary set of bike racks in St Nicholas Park.  Expect to see more of these pictures if there is an absence of suitable material for the blog!

A good ride today, nice to be out with good company.  Covered a fraction under 31 miles today.
