Old Gits to Burnham 24

Tuesday is Old Gits Day.  Off to Burnham on Sea, the scheduled route for the first Tuesday in the month, this time taking a slight detour through Lympsham and Eastertown to add about 3 flat miles on to the usual.  Stopped halfway at the Weatherspoons in Burnham for a coffee and bacon batch, a bargain at £2.69 and all the coffee you can drink. The route back also included the inevitable stop for eggs!

Tandem Trouble

Andy brought his wife Judy along for the ride today using a very nice Claude Butler tandem, by the look of it from the early 80s.  They chose to divert on the way back and go through Bleadon nature reserve which means negotiating 5 stiles, this being the most challenging.  It is only designed for pedestrians so Andy did well to get the tandem through. I would have liked to have helped but was busy taking the photograph!

A very pleasant day weatherwise and clocked up just under 24 miles.
