Old Gits to Burnham 24

A ride out with the Weston Old Gits to Burnham on Sea today, a variation on our normal route.  Forecast is not particularly good so wet weather gear on from the start. 13 of us left the start point, not bad for a dreary looking day in the middle of winter.

Another puncture!
Not me this time. Old Git Phil had the problem, the third one in the rear wheel in four rides. No point in buying a lottery ticket this week. This was on Wick Lane heading towards East Brent.

Busy Road

After stopping at Wetherspoons in Burnham for tea and toast, cycled back to Weston via Berrow and Brean.  This is part of the peleton heading down the Berrow Road with the added attraction of a horse and rider coming in the opposite direction. This is why car drivers love us!

Egg Collection

A slight diversion to collect some eggs.  Turning off the Berrow Road into Red Lane some of the Old Gits called in to this little garden centre to get some eggs. Must be omelettes for tea in some houses in Weston. The eggs are highly recommended, and cheaper than supermarkets, so must try some in the future.

The rain kept off and ended up a nice ride in back to Weston. Covered just under 24 miles today.
