Burnham Breeze 31

With temperatures in the low teens, very unseasonal weather we are having.  Best make the most of it whilst it lasts. High winds forecast later so a morning ride it is.  Off to Burnham on Sea but with a special mission to do on the way.

The Zombie

This was the mission.  My wife took a detour the other day and spotted this zombie in Whitehouse Lane near Loxton. We went in the car yesterday and scoped it out and met the owner. Some years ago he drove a hearse with a coffin in the back, as you do, and he acquired this zombie which he kept and later put it on this fence with the wooden skull.  In the distance is Crook Peak a local beauty spot and the River Axe runs past the farm. Probably why it is called Axe View Farm.

Highbridge Marina

Before reaching Burnham (and the Bay View Cafe) rode along the sea front past the marina.  The tide was in, and for once, saw the boats bobbing about rather than languishing in the mud.

Did some good times on the way back with 20+ mph winds pushing me.  A fraction under 31 today.
