Old Gits Glide 23

Out with the Old Gits CC today, meeting at the usual place and taking it easy around our normal route.  A bit surprised, on starting, how cold the wind felt, but it had swung round from west to the north east. The sun was out which was a bonus, at least for the majority of the ride.

Winscombe Public Toilets

I know this is a strange subject, but these toilets, situated near the Strawberry Line at Winscombe are fairly unique to this area. They are free to use! Quite clean inside as well.

Pelaton on the Strawberry Line

Regrouping after the toilet stop, the group, 10 of us, chatted for a short time at the top of the ramp leading onto the cycle path. We were then molested by a brown labrador dog with a four foot stick in his mouth trying to push his way past the group. A few legs were whacked in the process and typically, the lady owner thought it was hilarious! Some people.

Carried on from there to the cafe at Hewish for tea and cake then home.  A pleasant, but not as warm as it should be, 23.5 miles.
