Midlands Mash 33

Visiting Leamington for a couple of days so took the opportunity to meet up with a couple of buddies for a ride out. Met up with Graham at his home and cycled over to Kenilworth where we met Mick near Common Lane. Headed out then along the Greenway to Balsall Common and did a circuit before heading back.

Three Musketeers!

On the outskirts of Balsall Common, on the Knowle Road, called in at the Oakes Farm Tea Rooms which are part of the big farm shop there. Tea and toasted tea cake went down very well. Thanks to the waitress for taking the photo. Graham on the left, yours truly in the middle, Mick on the right. The tea cakes are to be recommended by the way.

Leaving Oakes Cafe.

We were all suitably layered up against the cold today, but, in all fairness, it was not too bad at all. Compared to some of the days in Weston recently, it was positively balmy! Dry roads, a slight headwind heading back, it was not too bad at all.

Leamington Town Hall

Riding back to my sister's, in Whitnash, went through Kenilworth and Leamington Town Centres. Stopped to take this picture of Leamington Town Hall in the town centre. This one was opened in 1884 and replaced the older town hall in High Street. This one cost £14,000 to build!

An excellent spin out today. Good to catch up with the 'lads. Covered just under 33 miles today, best mileage so far this year.
