8th March 2014 Leamington Lollop 16

Going well this week with two longish rides. Took an easy one into Leamington to keep the muscles ticking over. Fine old day today, so wore shorts and only two layers. (Members of the ESCC please note!)

John Atkins Cycles

Through Warwick and into Leamington, made a beeline for John Atkins. In desperate need for some new brake blocks, the front ones have done well for over 6,000 miles but they are in desperate need of replacing. Very obliging shop this, the lad behind the counter checked the old ones and offered 3 alternatives. Unfortunately, they could not help with a small screw I needed for the rear mudguard.

Spring blossom

Saw this on the Radford Road in Leamington, just before the foot entrance into Newbold Comyn.  A very welcome sight after the last few months.

Spring lamb

These were on Lowes Farm opposite the Saxon Mill. Another welcome sight and a reminder to get some mint sauce in.

A nice easy circuit around Leamington. A real feel good factor in the warmer drier weather.  Did 16 miles today which took the total for the week to 151 miles, a personal best.
