31st May 2013 Leamington Lollop

Called over to see my brother at Whitnash today, and as it was a nice morning, cycled.

Medieval Cottage

Whitnash can trace its origins back to Roman times and is definitely mentioned in the Doomsday Book. There are several old cottages in the village dating back to the 16/17 century. This is one of them on the main road through the village near the Church.  Actually, I will be censured for calling it a village, I understand it is a town now in its own right with a mayor etc,

Morrisons Old Warwick Road.

Another shot of the latest store to be built in Leamington. This is viewed from the main Old Warwick Road. This store has replaced the huge foundry, owned by Ford's, which stood on this site for years.

Another fairly easy day. 13 miles this morning in warm sunshine. Also did another 4 miles in the evening with Carmen, a 7 year old granddaughter, over the fields near to Leek Wootton.
