Some Old Gits go to Mother Hen's

The Old Gits Friday Riders are out this morning, raring to go in the spring sunshine.  It was a bit foggy and not too warm first thing but did brighten up later when the sun burnt through.    7 riders left Weston and went out through St Georges and Puxton, Sandford and Yatton to Wrington and the Mother Hen Tea Rooms.

River Yeo

Went down the Strawberry Line from Sandford to Yatton and stopped to regroup at the River Bridge over the Yeo near Congresbury.  on from this point, through Congresbury and over the hill to Wrington and the Mother Hen tea room.

Tea and cake

There was not so much choice when this tea room was The Red Beetle' but the new owner has made significant changes including more tables and a better choice of food.  It was announced today that a new kitchen is almost complete and bacon sandwiches will be available soon.  Can't wait!

Left Wrington and went back to Weston via Churchill, Banwell and Weston. Covered 34 miles today and achieved 108 for the week.  First time this year.
