Brean,Berrow, Burnham and Brent 22

Another cracking day, so going to extend Monday's ride a little and go down to Burnham on Sea and put a couple of extra miles on.  Headed for the Bay View Cafe on the sea front there, and as it was lunchtime, sat outside and had tea and cheese on toast.

                Cue the music! Derrum. Derrum.

Spotted this geezer on a shop wall as I was leaving Burnham.  If you are a Somerset regular, which shop was it?

St Andrews

Another little quiz, where is this tiny little church then?  Looks as if it belongs on the set of Little house on the Prairie.

Where is this view from?  Look at the colour of the sky!

A good ride today in glorious weather.  Hope this keeps up.  22 miles today, fairly comfortable apart from being overtaken on the Berrow Road in Burnham by a big 4 X 4 that was far too close for comfort.  Even worse it was towing a big caravan which caught my right handlebar as it pulled in too early.  Wobbled a bit but manage to stay on.  The annoying part of this is, I don't think the driver knew what he did. Coming off, at about 10 mph, would not have been healthy at all.

  1. Close shave with the 4x4, Ken. Wouldn’t surprise me if the driver had no idea what he or she was doing. The worry is if they had knocked you off I guess they wouldn’t have stopped. Nice one! Mick
