Old Gits to Burnham on Sea 21

Change of destination for the Old Gits today.  Meeting up, slightly later, at Royal Sands at Weston. The plan is to get to Burnham on Sea and have refreshments at the Reeds Hotel on the front there.

Meet at Royal Sands.

Change of destination, and change of meeting place. We also get a lie in today as we meet at 9am at Royal Sands on the south end of Weston beach. This is the Old Gits talking tactics before the mass start.

Burnham on Sea promenade.

The destination was Burnham on Sea via East Brent and Berrow. Not a route that should be considered at the weekend as the twisty roads are full of holiday travellers (a lot with caravans) at this time of year. Refreshments were taken on the sea front at Burnham at the Reeds Hotel, a Weatherspoons establishment. Bacon roll and all the coffee you can drink for £2.49. A bargain in anyone's language. The timing was perfect as the wind and rain was becoming a nuisance just as we landed there and cleared up just before we left. This is the group getting ready to make the return journey.

Guardian of the pots!

On the way back from Burnham, several Old Gits wanted to call at a garden centre in Berrow to get some eggs. It was at this point we lost two O.Gs who went sailing off down the wrong road. I mooched around the garden centre and spotted this 'monster' peering over the fence from the property next door. Better than any CCTV in the fight against petty theft.

Windy going out, good ride on the way back. Not so much as normal, 21 today.
