Puxton Poke 20

A nice morning, still cold with a north wind but not bad for having a look around Puxton, a small village to the east of Weston. Ideal for taking a circular route to get some miles in, and there is a cafe at nearby Hewish.

Winter Feed

Seen in Bourton Lane just outside Weston on the way to Puxton. Not too much grass in the fields at the moment and the farmers are reliant on the hay gathered in last summer to see these animals through. Together with a daily feed of concentrates this should help these sheep through the lambing season.

St Marks Church Worle

One of four churches in the parish of Worle, north of Weston, St Marks was built in 1980 and is a Church of England school.

Enjoyed this morning's ride. Kept warm with plenty of layers and made some good times (when the wind was behind). Notched up just over 20 miles today.
