2nd October 2014 Coventry Chase 17

Moved inland for this one. Visiting friends and relatives, took some time out for a ride from Coventry with Mick.  Did a circuit of Tile Hill, Berkswell, Balsall Common and back through Warwick University. A chilly start but soon warmed up.

Mind your head!

Not that low really. This is on the approach to Torrington Avenue from Canley. The main London, Coventry to Birmingham line passes over this bridge.

La Delicia

An old favourite watering hole of ours in the centre of Balsall Common. They do a really nice Eccles Cake but we settled for tea and a toasted tea cake today.

A nice route that we have used several times. Just over 17 miles in total.

  1. Hi Ken,

Good to meet up yesterday and enjoyed the ride. As wet weather approaches this weekend I took the shorts out again this morning (and the bike) and did a similar route to yesterday but went further out via Meriden. Managed 24 miles, so pleased with that.

    Keep in touch

  2. Good stuff Mick. I used the Mountain Bike today on some bridle paths. The forecast is not good so best do them before the rain comes. Did you get an Eccles Cake?

    1. You won't believe it I know, but I cycled past La Delicia without stopping. Not quite the same without some good company to share the eccles cakes with!
