1st July 2014 Bishops Tachbrook Trundle 20

Another nice morning. Going to settle for a quiet ride through Warwick to Barford, Bishops Tachbrook, Leamington, Warwick and home.

The Black Horse Inn, Warwick

Spotted this mural on the garage doors of the Black Horse on the Birmingham Road last night. Possibly done by the same artist that was featured here some time ago doing a mural on the nearby Antelope Pub.  Not much about this place on the interweb. A date over the door puts it at 1700 so plenty of history but none recorded! Trip advisor is not too kind about the B and B, basically, you get what you pay for.

Leopard Inn, Bishops Tachbrook.

Just on the southern side of Leamington is the village of Bishops Tachbrook and this pub is one of the dominant features of the place.  This pub is a different kettle of fish than the Black Horse with decent reviews about the service and quality etc. This is just a restaurant now really, owned by a chain of pubs, (the Scoff and Quaff group) and it has been refurbished to a good standard. Having used it myself several times, can recommend you try it.

20 miles today in nice sunshine. A treat to be out this morning.
