24th February 2014 Leamington Loop 14

Out with the ESCC tomorrow and may well be doing a long (well for me anyway) ride. Just do a nice easy one over to Leamington and back.

You must be kidding!

Riding along Tachbrook Park Drive Leamington, the home of the car dealerships and other industrial units, spotted this public thermometer. It showed 17.1 centigrade. That needs fixing, there is no way that it was that warm. The BBC forecast promised a high of 10 degrees, and with the fairly stiff breeze would have felt less than that. Admittedly I had left some layers off and wore thin gloves etc but the sign was not a reflection of the temperature. I will have a word with a grumpy old man I know, he can send Antolin an email of complaint.

High Street Roadworks

These have moved along a bit. For the ex pats who read this, High Street/Bath Street is all clear now, the site has moved along towards Radford, it is possible to get into Court Street now and by the look of things, it won't be long before it has gone past Althorpe Steet.

Jephson's rhino?

Took a slight detour through the Jephson gardens and a new sculpture has appeared. My impression is, that this is supposed to be a rhino although whether the artist will agree with that remains to be seen. Whatever it is, don't meet one in the dark.

An easy tootle round, no pressure at all. Just under 14 clocked up today. All set for tomorrow now.
