27th October 2013 Charlecote Chase

After the excitement of the cycling event at the Manchester Velodrome, couldn't wait to get out on two wheels today! Storms are forecast later today so best get out whilst the going is good. A blustery old wind of about 15mph should help me to get home after starting off into the wind. Heading towards Wellesbourne today.

The Rose and Crown

Started off going through Warwick with the intention of taking some photos of the Mop Fair, an annual street event held in the centre of Warwick. It was on last night but, by 10 o'clock this morning it had all been cleared away. Shucks.  Took a tour round the town anyway and took some snaps.  This pub sits in the corner of the Market Square and offers a good range of food and drinks.  The windows were full of pumpkins so they were obviously getting geared up for Halloween.

The Museum

Done this one before but the old building looked good in the sunlight.  Well worth a visit if you are in town. Good sections on social and natural history and it is free!  Went off then through Barford and turned at Charlecote to go back through Warwick via Fulbrook Lane.

Hard work on the first half, blown back on the second half of the 21 miles I did. Another 100 for the week.
