To Burnham and back 30

Not a bad day today, over 50 degrees, no rain forecast although it is a bit overcast.  Taking the usual trip down to Burnham on Sea across the levels with a slight deviation through Bleadon to take in a bit of a climb, well a 100 foot one to be accurate.  Over that and it was onto the Levels passing through Mark on the way to Burnham.

Murmurations

A bit of a wildlife report from the Somerset Levels.  Saw a grey wagtail by one of the rhynes in Rooksbridge, a dead grass snake on the way to Highbridge (should he not have been hibernating?) and a sparrow hawk, or was it a kestrel near Mark.  And a host of starlings on a farm in Vole Road near Northwick.
These were near the farmhouse,

These were waiting to join in

as were these.  Couldn't hang about to watch, but there is no doubt these will all join up and create a spectacular show as they whirl and wheel before roosting for the night.

Good ride today, the wind was nearly 20 mph at times but didn't seem to be a problem.  In fact it seemed to be behind for more than it was in the face.  Covered just over 30 miles, 119 for the week.
