Old Gits' Training Day 37

With three other Old Gits, went out onto the Somerset Levels for a 'training day'.  Met up at the Beach Huts on the promenade and planned on having refreshments at Shapwick nature reserve but as no-one answered the telephone we changed tack and went to Sweets cafe near Wedmore.

Didn't know this place existed till today!  Looked for different ways to get to Sweets cafe and went through Mark and turned onto the levels to avoid the main road which seemed quite busy.  Found a new road that runs through Tadham Moor and came out very close to Sweets.  Surprised how much water was about so stopped for a photo.  Job done.

Between Wedmore and West Hay is Sweets.  A very popular place with cyclists, we were the only ones there today yet the place was full of normal people having a Christmas lunch (rebooked only). Ian had to wait ages for his bacon roll because of the work load that caused. Nice to sit round the log fire though in fairness, it was fairly mild outside.

Clocked up 37 miles today, the others did over 40.
