Wellesbourne Wander 20

In Leamington for a couple days so a chance to have a ride out with Graham.  Both of us were limited for time so took the option of going out through Leamington and Barford and taking a circular route back from Wellesbourne.  After the last couple of days the weather was kind to us with a light breeze and no rain.

No Peter Pan!

Diverted off the main road through Warwick to take the more peaceful route through St Nicholas Park.  The area in the photograph used to be a little children's railway. And there it was all gone. Obviously being updated into the 21st century and the website now advertises this as a runaway mine train. Such fun. Interestingly, the ride tokens have now gone up to a pound.

New Cycle shop

We were aware of a new cycle shop opening in the village of Wellesbourne so, being nosy, we went to have a look.  And there it was, in Bridge Street Wellesbourne and although we never went in (tea and toast was calling) there seemed to be a very diverse range of products and bikes in the window.  There is a large number of amateur cyclists in an around Wellesbourne so it should do quite well. Their website looks very informative and inviting as well.
After tea and toast at the local cafe we returned to Leamington via Bishops Tachbrook.

A good ride out, 20 miles total in all.
