Two in One 8 + 28

Have been in Leamington for a couple of days and without the lap top, could not get the rides on here. Hence two rides going on in the same day.

This is the first, a short trip around the Royal Borough of Leamington Spa.  Time was at a premium as didnt get out till gone 3 and the light was fading fast.  Also the Strava GPS went hay wire so have no map.  Got a couple of photos in though.

Daffodils - in January!

Seen on the Tachbrook Road going out of Leamington. Strange horticultural happenings going on all over the place this year.  Cold is forecast next week, these things are going to have a bit of a shock.

Sun in Not So Splendour

One for the ex pats who look at this occasionally.  This site is the previous well known public house at the corner of Kingsway and the Tachbrook Road.  Now demolished the council are building residential apartments to take its place. Will return when its finished.

Ice cream anyone?

A bit of an advertising gimmick outside an ice cream parlour type place on the parade at Leamington opposite the Town Hall.  Best get a picture before global warming gets to it.

That was just a little 8 miler.

The second ride was the following day. Out with a couple of mates, Mick and Graham (I wont mention that you were late Graham- honest). Picked Mick up in Kenilworth and went out to Balsall Common to the La Delicia cafe in the main village there. Haven't been there for ages but the tea and toasted tea cakes were just as good.  Started to rain just before we got there so on with the wet weather gear.  On the way back the heavens opened and the ride back to Leamington from Kenilworth was not the best we have ever had.  This one was a more credible 28 miles.
