Wellesbourne Wander 20

Still in Leamington so taking the opportunity to have a ride out with Graham.  The forecast was, at first, heavy rain but we were lucky today, just went through one small light shower. Met Garaham in Leamington and went out through Warwick to Wellesbourne where we changed cafes. Back then through Oakley Woods to Leamington.

Thomas Oken Tea Rooms

This fine old building was formerly a Dolls House Museum. Now an up market tea room, it stands just off the main street in Warwick. To the left can be seen the Queens Tower of Warwick Castle.

Cycling Hazard!

Happens now and again. This articulated lorry was reversing into a garage on the Kineton Road in Wellesbourne and this chap had to have a couple of goes at it. You have to take your hat off to these drivers, the very restricted places they have to get into in these huge trucks.

Tea break.

After all that excitement, time for tea and cake. Rather than use the normal airfield cafe, had a change and went to this cafe in the centre of Wellesbourne. An OK place, actually, we had toasted tea cakes with blackcurrant jam.

20 miles in total today.
